The Rajni's movies usually attracts audience for his charismatic smile and stylish movements like punching the shirt into air.
As expected, Rajinikanth entrance in the first song was really simple just coming out from a foreign car. But that was first whistle movement. The music at that movement gave me goosebumps.
Songs picturization is fantastic, mind blowing. But the songs are not good.
We have two banda heroines. It seems Anushka forgot the gym and yoga or it is aging effect, who knows. And Sonakshi, the flashback heroine did her part quietly. And the trivia is singer Chinmayi dubbed Sonakshi.
The climax scenes shows the trademark fighting and stunts performed by oursuperman super star Rajni like jumping from road onto parachute. Of course we have to accept it because it is from the Taliva.
We can see the efforts put into this movie for making the scenes which Ibelongs to 1930s. Many people were moving within the feame. It was huge task to manage the artists and the LINGA team was very impressive to complete this huge film (both in running length : almost 3hrs and in the sets they used) within just 6 months.
Clearly the director focused on Rajni, to show him as complete entertainer by providing him with the roles as a smart thief, a patriotical collector, a kind Raja, a super hero and finally as an all lost man. One can observe the trend in his movies that, the character builds in happy and entertaining way in the first half of the movie and he chooses one mission impossible mission and lose everything he had, one sad song will play and the memories will flash on the screen. At this time one should learn how to be so stubborn when we lose everything what we have. Some may take it as satirical way saying those are cinema kastalu (cinematic problems). But the fact is many people can severely suffer with the simple losses. It is timportant to have smile on our faces when we stand in front of biggest hurdles.
This movie lacks the strong villain character. And all the side character artists did well. The train fight was impressive. This is a lengthy picture running for almost 3 hrs which is annoying especially if you predict the screenplay. I knew how Rajni fights villain in the climax with his amazing super hero powers.
Overall Linga is not for the ones who digs deep for innovation in the film industry. This movie is only for Rajni lovers.
