Another disappointing loss to Federer

Federer bowed to his opponent Tommy Robredo who registered his first win against Federer in the last 11 encounters.

I kind of feel like I beat myself, you know, without taking any credit away from Tommy.Clearly he was making sure he was making many balls. It was up to me to make the difference and I couldn't. I kind of self destructed, which is very disappointing, especially on a quicker court. Your serve helps you out. You're going to make the difference somewhere. I just couldn't do it.  It was a frustrating performance today.It’s not that much of a disappointment at the end of the day. If I'm playing like this, I'm not going to beat Rafa, or Kohlschreiber, for that matter… I was fighting with other things in my match today.  Not thinking too far ahead of myself, especially the level I was playing at." - Roger Federer

Serious statement from Federer. Finally he expressed the reasons for his loss. I think he lose most of the times because of his UE(Unforced Errors). Federer missed many easy points today. But credit to Tommy Robredo who played some decent forehands.

Even Robredo not believed that he is going to win. He gave 16 break point opportunities and federer was able to convert just 2 and it is awful 13% of conversion rate which is very very frustrating and disappointing.

So FEDAL quarters done and it is Nadal vs Robredo and Ferrer vs Gasquet in the quarters.
