AirDrop - Drop Everything

What is it?

AirDrop is an Wi-Fi ad-hoc service owned by Apple to transfer files between their devices without need of storage drives and special router configuration.

Why is it?

You need a mass storage device to transfer huge files from different PCs without LAN network connectivity. So Apple introduced a service to enable the users, to turn their existing device as a network router and send the files through WiFi. Through Bluetooth also we can do file transfer, but the data transfer rate is much lower than this.

Hmm, it sounds awesome!! This is another master plan by Google to rule the digital world. Already Google and it's echo system is way more penetrated
